Starting in August 2026 Great Northern Veterinary Specialists will provide specialty veterinary care to the pets and pet owners of Montana, Idaho, Washington, British Columbia, and Alberta.
Our experienced and compassionate team collaborate closely with primary care veterinarians and pet owners to provide the best care to our patients.

Meet Dr. Ryan Boharski
Dr. Ryan Boharski is a board-certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. He is a native of the Flathead Valley and is honored to serve the people, pets, and veterinarians in his hometown and the surrounding areas.
Dr. Boharski provides specialized surgical patient care in orthopedics, oncologic surgery, advanced soft tissue surgery, and neurosurgery. He finds the greatest reward in improving patient quality of life and deepening the bond between people and their companions.
Dr. Boharski earned a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University. He spent years as mixed animal veterinarian in Oregon and Montana. The joys of rural practice will always be a highlight of his career. Surgery became a passion that led Dr. Boharski to complete a surgery residency at Bridger Veterinary Specialists in Bozeman, MT.
He enjoys time with his growing family and their dogs Judy and Seamus, as well as time spent in the hills and on the rivers of Montana.
